One of my favorite kinds of squash, delicata is notable for having thin, edible skin, which sets it apart from most winter squash that have hard exteriors that are more like rinds.
Cooking: The most common way to prepare delicata is to roast it, but it can also be stuffed or cubed and added to dishes.
Size: Delicata squash are small and average about 1 lb each- which is about 3 inches wide and 6 inches long.
