What You'll Receive

12 oz thick cut pork bacon cured naturally without nitrates or nitrites. 

Ingredients: Pork, water, salt, sugar, cinnamon, clove, celery powder.

Limit 2 packages per customer- due to the popularity of bacon.  If you would like more bacon to be available, please consider purchasing another cut of pork.  The Lindemanns need to sell the whole pig before they can raise more pigs (and have more bacon!).

Cooking Tips

Don't throw out the bacon fat!  After cooking, filter the bacon fat through a paper towel and refrigerate until needed.  Bacon fat makes the best roasted potatoes (use in place of oil or butter)!

How It's Raised

Unconventional- Jamie Lindemann started raising pigs because she was dissatisfied with the flavor and texture of conventional pork purchased at the grocery store.  She knew if she wanted better meat, she was going to have to raise it herself.

Unconfined- Jamie regularly moves her pig's fence to a fresh section of pasture where they can root in the dirt and forage for plants.  They are supplemented with a grain mix and fresh water.

Unbelievably Good- Berkshire pork (a heritage breed) is renowned for its marbling, juiciness, tenderness and depth of flavor.  Berkshire is to pork what wagyu is to beef. Once you try Berkshire pork, you will have a hard time going back to that “other white meat."

Healthier for You- Pasture raised pork has significant health benefits over factory farmed pork, including more omega-3s, selenium, and vitamins A and D.

Humanely Raised- The sows (mama pigs) at Lindy Land & Livestock are never confined to farrowing crates when giving birth (a common and inhumane industry practice).  Instead, they raise their piglets in a large pen outdoors where they can care for their young and express their natural instincts.

Antibiotic Free- Antibiotics are never used on the meat pigs.

LOVED the bacon

I personally LOVED the bacon. Excellent flavor, I’ve only ever had store bought bacon and the difference in flavor and texture made me realize I had never really had pork the way God intended. It cooked beautifully and the lard I saved from it has been excellent with eggs or any cooking that requires oil. I haven’t got a chance to try the Italian sausage I ordered but the bacon was worth every penny. Really thick cuts but when I cooked it down to a crispy strip, the crunch and texture was out of this world. The fat melted in my mouth and the meat almost had a jerky texture but not in a dry unbearable manner. Homemade jerky is phenomenal and I like my bacon to have that texture if I can cook it right. This stuff gave me just that, overall I was impressed and I will definitely be repurchasing that bacon. I ate a whole bag to myself in one sitting, that may not be healthy but it’s addicting, you can’t just have a few pieces.

Lack of additives, natural curing with celery salt, pastured and humanely raised animals, antibiotic free. Also really like supporting locally raised products.
