Bunch of two medium-large kohlrabi

Kohlrabi is a cruciferous vegetable in the cabbage family. It tastes similar to a broccoli stem--sweet and a bit peppery-- with a more tender, crunchy texture.

Preparation: Remove leaves (they are also edible, however) and peel the outer skin with a paring knife. Enjoy raw in a slaw or with a vegetable dip. Also great roasted.
